Everyone has a weakness. The weakness of Muhammad Ali was Eddie Futch.
Five men defeated Ali, and four of them (Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Larry Holmes, and Trevor Berbick) were trained by Futch. A master tactician, Futch studied his charges opponents meticulously, and there were few trainers you wanted in your corner for a big fight more than Futch.
Futch also worked with Riddick Bowe, Marlon Starling, Montell Griffin, and Alexis Arguello.
