Carlos Ruiz played the vast majority of his career with the Philadelphia Phillies where he was the team’s Catcher for their 2008 World Series Championship.  Ruiz did not collect a lot of hits over his career, in fact he only had three years where he had over 100 Hits and never had more than 121 but in those three years (2010-12), he was able to get on base often and had a healthy On Base Percentage.  In those three seasons he received a smattering of MVP votes and the 2012 All-Star would be named a Wilson Defensive Player in both 2012 and 2013.

There was so much to love about the game of Carlos Beltran.  The 1999 American League Rookie of the Year showed out of the gate that he had a lot of skills as he could hit, hit for power, had speed and good defensive skill.  Beltran began his career with the Kansas City Royals where he won the aforementioned Rookie of the Year Award, but KC knew that they would not able to afford him once he became a free agent and he was traded to the Houston Astros for their stretch run.  

Bronson Arroyo spent most of his pitching career for the Cincinnati Reds but it was earlier in his career where he had his greatest team success where he was a member of the Boston Red Sox 2004 World Series Championship team.  With the Reds he had five 14 Win Seasons and was an All-Star in 2006 where he led the National League in Games Started and Innings Pitched.  2010 was a better season where he had a career high 17 Wins, won the Gold Glove and finished 12^th in Cy Young voting.  He retired with a record of 148 and 137.

Andre Ethier played his entire career with the Los Angeles Dodgers and he would have four 20 Home Run seasons and he would be named an All-Star in both 2010 and 2011.  His best year was in a non-All-Star year (2009) where he had career highs in Hits (162), Home Runs (31) and Runs Batted In (106) and he would finish sixth in National League MVP voting.  Ethier, who would also win a Gold Glove (2011), a Silver Slugger (2009) and had 1,367 career Hits.
