Open 24 Hours
In the quintessential (though one and done) early 1980’s Sitcom, Square Pegs, we had New Wave aficionado and budding superstar in the genre, Johnny Slash, who put together his own band, Open 24 Hours. Of note, they played Muffy Tepperman’s (Jami Gertz) Bat Mitzvah (where Devo opened for them) and had John Densmore of the Doors as their drummer.
The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Square Pegs (1982-83)
Actors:
Merritt Butrick (Johnny Slash)
John Densmore
Songs you might remember:
I’m Tired
Why you should vote for them:
Music was a big part of this show, and an actual Door? Come on!
Why you should not vote for them:
Any TV Show that is one and done is a struggle to induct.
