Quad City Ramblers

Quad City Ramblers TheFrom the underappreciated concept album (The Turtles present the Battle of the Bands) by the Turtles we have an albums where different “bands” appeared. This allowed the group to not only stretch their skills musically, as each “band” had a completely different sound and also showcase their humor.

In the fourth track of the album, the Turtles go Country to what we thought was a solid result in “Too Much Heartsick Feeling”. Actually, when reading the liner notes and listening to the song, we could envision them in a retro (though modern) version of Hee Haw as the musical act. Wait…what does retro but modern?
