Perhaps he was named "Handsome," but Dan wasn't exactly such. With a face for radio Handsome Dan interviewed Wayne Campbell as he was promoting Waynestock. Perhaps interviewing is a strong word as he never did engage in any meaningful dialogue as Wayne found out and exposed him on air. Maybe if Handsome Dan was a little diligent in his work, he could have turned the tables as Wayne had no booked acts at the time. He worked for WPIG, which coincidentally was the rival station of WKRP in that series. Since this was in Aurora (or Chicago?), we doubt it was the same station.
