Like a lot of you, we were super excited when the New WKRP in Cincinnati began to air. Sadly, it was an uneven effort that saw a lot of things that just didn't work, and perhaps we can point the blame to the new Program Director, Donovan Aderhold (Mykelti Williamson).
A bit of a bland character, he inherited a mess as WKRP devolved back into a citywide joke of a radio station, which considering they were playing rock and roll on an AM station in the early '90s, that alone would see ratings plummet. That piece of logic aside, he was last seen falling in love, leaving the station and then only to come back to see his plane go missing. We mean missing as the show ended without ever wrapping up that storyline!
