2022 Fictitious Rock and Roll Contributors -- Round 1

Bucky Dornster

Bucky Dornster
  • Contest: 2022 Fictitious Rock and Roll Contributors -- Round 1
  • Played by the writer of the show, Bill Dial, Bucky Dornster was a sound engineer who was only in two episodes. The first time we saw him, he broke stereo equipment at a live remote and walked away from a gun to his head (literally) so that he could have his lunch. Union rules, you know!
The second time we saw him was at a softball game where he was drunk (yet still a capable player) when W.K.R.P. went against the rival radio station, W.P.I.G.
  • TV Show/Movie Appeared: W.K.R.P. in Cincinnati (1978-82)
  • Actor/Actress: Bill Dial
  • Position Portrayed: Sound Engineer
  • Why you should vote:: He was only in two episodes but he was well remembered.
  • Why you should not vote:: Two episodes!

Bucky wasn't the 'sound' engineer at WKRP. He was the station engineer. He worked on everything from the toilets to the transmitter.
