While Gorman Thomas was far from the most well rounded player in Baseball, fans of the Milwaukee Brewers knew that every time he stepped up to the plate there was a good chance he was going to take the ball deep.
A two-time Home Run Champion, “Stormin” Gorman would smack 208 dingers in his Brewers career. He would go over 100 RBIs three times and he finished 7th and 8th respectively in 1979 and 1982 American League MVP voting. While Thomas never hit for average and he struck out a lot (he also led the AL in strikeouts twice) anyone with that kind of power will always be beloved.
