Beckley was a Red for six seasons, and he batted well over .300 in five of them, with his overall Cincinnati Batting Average coming in at .325, well more than the .300 he had as a Pirate. While he was not the fastest player, he had three 20-plus Stolen Base years, and had 77 Triples for the Reds.
His contract was sold to St. Louis in 1904, and he left Cincinnati with 1,126 Hits, a number that was 14 short of what he accomplished in Pittsburgh.
Beckley was chosen for the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971 via the Veterans Committee, and much later to the Reds Hall of Fame in 2014.
