One of the most powerful figures in hockey, Jeremy Jacobs, first bought the Boston Bruins in 1975 and is also the owner of Delaware North, a global hospitality and food services business.
Jacobs has a reputation as a militant hard-liner, which isn't inaccurate as he often incurred the ire of his players and coaches; however, his fiscally sound product and dedication to win has made him successful. The Bruins won the Stanley Cup in 2011, and he is one of the most powerful owners in the National Hockey League.
Jacobs had also been the chairman of the Board of Governors since 2007, and he is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, inducted in 2017.
