Standing at 7’ 1’’, Wayne “Tree” Rollins was a defensive stud. An excellent rebounder, Rollins real specialty was the block, where he averaged more than 2 Blocks per Game nine of his eleven seasons in Atlanta, His best season was in 1982/83 where he put up 4.3 rejections per game, leading the NBA. He would finish in the top three in that metric six times. When the big man retired he was fourth all time in blocks. Perhaps if he wagged his finger we would remember him more!
