A three-time All-Star, Carpenter would lead the National League in Hits (199), Runs Scored (126) and Doubles (55) in 2013, which was a year where he won the Silver Slugger and was fourth in MVP voting. Carpenter has steadily increased his power numbers with four 20 Home Run Seasons and a career-high of 36 in 2018 where he returned to the top ten in MVP voting (ninth). Carpernter slowed down by the end of the decade, and was signed by the Texas Rangers in 2022, though they released him, and he wound up with the Yankees.
