Powell was signed as an Amateur Free Agent in 1959 and debuted for Baltimore two seasons later. Powell would have eight seasons where he at least 20 Home Runs, with three of his seasons seeing him reach the 100 RBI mark. He would go to for straight All-Star Games from 1968 to 1971, which would see him have his only .300 season (1969), and win the American League MVP in 1970. His power helped the Orioles win the 1966 and 1970 World Series, and he had 6 Home Runs, with 18 RBIs over his playoff career.
The popular player was dealt to Cleveland in 1975, and he would accrue 1,574 Hits, 303 Home Runs, 1,063 RBIs with a .465 Slugging Percentage.
