There were not that many female wrestlers in the 1960s and 1970s but those that were able to make it was among the toughest women in the world, but few of them could hold a candle to Kay Noble.

Noble wrestled every major female star in her day and competed in many mixed tag matches, often with her husband, Doug Gilbert.  She would hold the AWA Women's Championship for eight years from 1963 to 1971.
