With the Seattle SuperSonics for five of his 16 years in the NBA, Tom Chambers was a workhorse for the club.
Chambers arrived in Seattle after being traded from the San Diego Clippers, who had decided to go with Terry Cummings instead at the Power Forward position. He was an excellent fit for the Sonics and saw a lot more playing time with an 18.1 Points per Game Average in his first season there. In the next four seasons, Chambers would have three 20 PPG seasons, peaking with a 23.3 campaign in 1986/87. The year was highlighted by his first All-Star Game appearance, where he was on fire and won the All-Star Game MVP. His run with Seattle ended in 1988 when he signed with the Phoenix Suns as a Free Agent.
