Gladys Gillem was one of the great early female wrestlers of the first half of the 20^th Century where she was often an opponent of Mildred Burke, who was the leading female attraction of the day. Burke needed a new foe, which was Gillem and as she was on the losing end of the ledger she never received the notoriety that she should have.
