Although Gwar did not create Shock Rock, they did take it to levels never before thought of. With bizarre costumes and concerts that often feature performance art and audiences getting wet (with varying liquids), a Gwar concert is unlike anything else. Musically, their intention is to be loud and fun and if you are looking for any depth, you won’t find it here.
With that said, their main focus has always been presentation and considering that members can rotate (different people have played the GWAR characters); this is a band that can exist for decades to come.
