442. The Seeds

Okay, even for us that was a terrible pun, and the amount of bands and artists who have been anointed a share of the label “Godfather(s) of Punk” seems a high one indeed. With all of the above aside, a look at the Seeds shows a very raw and capable California band that was one of the better Garage bands of note and was able to explore the Psychedelic sound without sounding forced or pretentious. The Seeds did have a few hits but were largely overlooked as a whole, and an induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a possibility.
