77. Gwen Stefani

Just what is a Hollaback Girl, and why should we care?  Oh, because this shit is bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S, in case you didn’t hear Gwen Stefani repeat that a million times.

What happened to Gwen?  We are all for musical progression, but complete regression?  The decade previous, her band No Doubt made it to the big time with a fun and playful blend of Pop-Ska which had that  the rare ability to appeal to fans of various demographics.  A decade later, she returns as an annoying cheerleader spouting nonsense.  Of course, it went number one which raises a million other questions as to what passes as popular music these days….not that generations before understood it any better.  That shit was B-A-N-A-N-A-S too.
