"Bullet" Bob Armstrong is announced to the WWE Hall of Fame

The next entrant to the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame Class has been announced and it is "Bullet" Bob Armstrong.  The "Bullet" may not be known to a lot of newer wrestling fans, but he was a long time star in the American South throughout the 70's and early 80's, and is the father of  attitude era star, the Road Dogg.

We had ranked Armstrong #131 on our list, and though he did get inducted, it is a rank we still agree with.  Bob Armstrong never worked for Vince Jr., and though he had a good relationship with Vince Sr., his star never rose beyond the South.  The announcement of Bob Armstrong's induction was not done on the flagship program of Monday Night Raw, but on wwe.com, and although their website is one of the world's biggest, the fact that the video package was not shown on television does show that Armstrong's stature was not a big one.  It is a possibility that this induction was aided by this year's Wrestlemania site (Atlanta), as an homage to Georgia Championship Wrestling where Armstrong once starred.  Regardless, we here at notinhalloffame congratulate the Bullet and can we now assume that the "Armstrong Curse" is over?
