Baseball lost a great hurler when Jerry Koosman passed away this morning at age 83.
He spent most of his career with the New York Mets, was a two-time All-Star (1968 and 1969), and is best known as a member of the Miracle Mets that shocked the sporting world with a World Series Championship in 1969.
Koosman also played for Minnesota, Chicago (AL), and Philadelphia, and over his 19-year career, he posted a 222-209 record with 2,556 strikeouts.
We at notinhalloffame.com extend our condolences to the fans, friends, and family of Jerry Koosman.
