Morrissey had 20 Points in his rookie year (2016-17) and increased that to 26 as a sophomore. A clean player, Morrissey had back-to-back 31-point years and in 2021/22 he elevated that tally to 37 Points. Morrissey would then have a breakout, exploding with 76 Points, and finished fifth in Norris Trophy voting and enjoyed his first All-Star Game. Last season, he produced 69 Points with a healthy +34, and was fourth in Defensive Point Shares (6.3) and again had a top-ten Norris Finish. Last season, he led Winnipeg to its first President's Trophy, had 62 Points and was fourth in Norris voting.
Three years ago, we said that if Morrissey achieved his potential, he would break the top ten. He did, and if he continues, he will become a top-three performer on this list.
