gold star for USAHOF

39. Eric Brewer

39. Eric Brewer

Eric Brewer played 1,009 Games in the National Hockey League with 315 of them in an Oilers uniform.  It was in the Province of Alberta where he arguably played his best on a professional level.

After playing for the New York Islanders for two years, the Defenseman was traded to the Oilers, and he would see significantly more playing time.  Brewer was used in all capacities and was easily at his best when shadowing the opposition's best offensive player.  Brewer would also work on the power play and penalty kill, and while he was not known as a scorer, in the four seasons he was with Edmonton, he would have at least 21 Points, peaking at 29 in the 2002-03 campaign.

He was traded to St. Louis in the summer of 2005 and would score an even 100 Points for the organization.
