Audette had a 31-Goal, 48-Point rookie year, finishing sixth in Calder voting, and after an injury-plagued 1992-93 season, Audette had 59 Points, with a career-high 16 Power Play Goals. The Quebecer again missed a lot of time in 1994-95 and 1995-96, but he returned healthy in 1996-97, with an even 50 Points.
Audette was traded to Los Angeles in 1998, who later traded him to Atlanta. In 2000-01 as a Thrasher, he made his first and only All-Star Game and had 71 Points in 64 Games before he was traded back to Buffalo for their playoff run. Audette finished strong and helped them make the Second Round, but he departed Buffalo again, this time of his own volition via free agency to Dallas.
