16. Bill Hajt

16. Bill Hajt

Taken in the Third Round of the 1971 Draft, Defenseman Bill Hajt would play his entire career with the team that took him, the Buffalo Sabres.

Content to stay in his end of the ice, Hajt never had a season where he scored 30 Points, but he did secure 25 Points four times, and in his 14-year career, he had 244 Points.  Hajt was excellent at what he did, providing tight defense, and it showed in his Plus/Minus, managing seven +30 years.  He was also in the top seven in Defensive Point Shares five times.

A Sabre his entire career, Hajt may never have been an All-Star, but his value to Buffalo was apparent.  The Sabres recognized Hajt by inducting him into their Hall of Fame.
