A 14-year veteran of the National Hockey League, Lee Stempniak, played for ten different NHL teams over his career, which considering his beginnings, was a very impressive accomplishment.

Stempniak was not heavily recruited, but he played college hockey at Dartmouth and turned some heads. He was a 5^th Round Pick (by St. Louis) in 2003, and when he played in the most prestigious league in hockey, he managed five 40 Point seasons, which happened over six different teams (he was traded midway through the year three times.). A streaky scorer, Stempniak scored 469 Points over his career, which is probably 469 more than scouts who saw him before Dartmouth would have prognosticated him for.
