Dryden would continue the 70’s as his decade of dominance. He won five more cups, the Calder (which he won AFTER he won a Cup and a Conn Smythe) and five Vezina Trophies. He was the brick wall of the last great dynasty in Montreal, and he almost literally looked like one. Dryden was six foot four, and was not just his size that made him special. He was a master with his hockey stick and his reflexes had few (if any) equals. Although his career was relatively brief (only eight seasons) he accomplished more than a handful of All Star goalies do in twenty. Right now, Dryden is working on a Hall of Fame political career in Canada.
