Ilya Bryzgalov may never have been an All Star but there were a couple of seasons where the Russian was considered among the best netminders in the National Hockey League.

Bryzgalov was drafted by the Ducks and in a minor role he assisted the franchise win the 2007 Stanley Cup.  The Russian would however take his talents to the desert and as Phoenix Coyote he would be named a Second Team All Star, a fifth place finisher in Hart Trophy voting and he was a runner-up for the coveted Vezina Trophy.  He would have another good season with Phoenix and later was productive for the Philadelphia Flyers.

Internationally, he participated in the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and 2006 & 2010 Olympics for Russia.
