While Jamie Macoun could be accurately described as a stay-at-home Defenseman it just does not seem enough, as he was so much more.

Macoun used every ounce of his body and his hockey IQ to become an on ice leader and a determined force to stop goals in any way possible.  The seventeen year NHL veteran played over 1,100 Games in the NHL and while we extolled his defensive skills he still had six 30 Point seasons and had four campaigns where he finished in the top ten in Plus/Minus.  He also finished in the top ten three times in Defensive Point Shares.

More importantly for Jamie Macoun, he is a two time Stanley Cup winner, one with Calgary in 1986 and one in Detroit in 1998.  In between that he was a part of Toronto’s solid teams of the early 1990’s.
