30. George Martin

You could never say that George Martin did not make the most of his opportunity in professional football.

Martin was drafted in the 11thRound from Oregon, and he made the Giants, the only team that he would play for over his 14 seasons in the National Football League.  Martin would become a popular figure in the Big Apple, where his pass-rushing became his signature skill.  Sacks would not become an official stat until 1982, and Martin had 46 officially and 96 "unofficially," and he would help take the Giants to their first Super Bowl win (XXI).

Martin was never a Pro Bowl selection, but he what he did do, he did exceptionally well, and for a long time.  The team would give Martin the accolade of being part of the first Giants Ring of Honor Class in 2010.
