50. Pierre Thomas

Pierre Thomas was not one of the players chosen in the 2007 NFL Draft, but the Running Back from Illinois found employment quickly with the New Orleans Saints.

Thomas was not a star, but he was a versatile offensive weapon for years.  Usually playing as an RB2, Thomas was could catch as well as he could run, and he had two 1,000 plus years from scrimmage, the highest being 1,095 in 2009.  That season coincided with New Orleans’ Super Bowl Championship team.

Thomas also was valuable as a returner, and in the eight years he was in New Orleans, he had 8,307 All-Purpose Yards.  He would later enter the Saints Hall of Fame in 2018.
