Kocourek was equally adept at blocking as he was in receiving, and from 1961 to 1964 the Tight End was an AFL All-Star.
A member of the 1963 AFL Championship Team, Kocourek, was also a four-time Second Team All-AFL Selection. The Tight End joined the Miami Dolphins in 1966, but the best days of his career were over. With the Chargers, Kocourek had 3,720 Yards and 21 Touchdowns.
