26. Fred Dean

Fred Dean was one of the best defensive players in Louisiana Tech history, and his work landed him a Second Round Pick with the San Diego Chargers in 1975.

Dean started immediately at Defensive End, and his forte was pass-rushing.  Sacks were not officially kept; he was one of the best at in Chargers history.  Dean would go to his first Pro Bowl in 1979 and was so again in 1960, a year that saw him earn First Team All-Pro honors.

Dean sought a better contract in 1981 and became disgruntled with the San Diego.  The Chargers traded him early in the season to San Francisco, where he won two Super Bowls.

In 2008, Dean entered both the Pro Football and Chargers Hall of Fame.
