23. Jamal Williams

A 1998 Supplemental Draft Pick from Oklahoma State, Jamal Williams had a slow start in his pro career.

Williams only started two games in his first two seasons, and he finally became a starter in 2000 when he was the Chargers’ regular Left Defensive Tackle.  An injury took him out only three weeks into the 2001 campaign, and he fought his way back the year after to become a starter again.  A move to the 3-4 defense, had Williams move to Nose Tackle, and it turned out to be the best move of his career.

At Nose Tackle, Williams went to three straight Pro Bowls (2005-07) with the first two years seeing a First Team All-Pro Selection.  A triceps injury took him out again in 2009, and he was released shortly after, but Williams was a three-time Chargers Defensive Player of the Year.
