The former member of the Tulane Green Wave, Holman, was used in Special Teams in his first three seasons before becoming a starter in 1985. While his numbers seem low by the standards of upper-end TEs today, his four 500-yard plus seasons over his career were considered productive, and he was a useful weapon in Cincinnati's march to a Super Bowl appearance in 1988. That year began a three-year run of Pro Bowl appearances, with two seasons also earning Second Team All-Pro Selections.
Holman played with the Bengals until the end of the 1992 Season, and he signed with Detroit, where he played three more years in the NFL. With the Bengals, he had 4,329 Yards with 34 Touchdowns.
