Fresh off winning a College Football National Championship for LSU as the game's Defensive MVP, Patrick Queen was drafted 28th Overall in 2020 by Baltimore as an explosive off-ball linebacker. Inserting immediate speed into the second level of Baltimore’s 3-4 defense, Queen became an instant centerpiece in the interior.

Queen’s game was founded on exceptional athletic prowess, demonstrated by a 4.50-second 40-yard dash, enabling him to move effectively to the perimeter. Primarily functioning as an off-ball linebacker, he demonstrated excellence in pursuing plays from behind, blitzing through interior gaps, and utilizing his closing speed to reduce yards gained after the catch.

Queen joined the starting lineup immediately as a rookie in 2020, playing all 16 regular-season games. He led the defense with 106 total tackles (66 solo), along with 3.0 sacks, nine tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and a 53-yard fumble recovery touchdown against Cincinnati, earning a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team. In 2021, he improved with 98 tackles (including 10 tackles for loss) while starting every game.

In 2022, Queen took another leap forward, recording a then-career-high 117 tackles, 5.0 sacks, nine tackles for loss, and two interceptions. Paired with Roquan Smith midway through the season, Queen's efficiency skyrocketed as he was freed to trigger downhill and attack opposing backfields.

Queen achieved the peak of his Baltimore career in 2023, his contract year. He played all 17 games, setting career highs with 133 total tackles (84 solo), 3.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, six passes defensed, and an interception. This breakout season led to his first Pro Bowl selection and Second-Team All-Pro honors, reinforcing a Ravens defense that permitted the fewest points per game (16.5) in the NFL.

Following the 2023 campaign, Queen departed in free agency, signing a multi-year deal with division rival Pittsburgh.  In Baltimore, Queen started all 67 regular-season games he played, accumulating 454 total tackles (297 solo), 13.5 sacks, 37 tackles for loss, 33 quarterback hits, and four interceptions.
