Special Teams has a major struggle to get recognized in Canton, Ohio, but do we have a case with Devin Hester who with the reduction of kickoff returns in the NFL could be the last great returner ever? Some have even said he is the best ever.
That is the perception of Hester that will have to be accurate if he has any chance to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Hester unquestionably altered the way teams would do kickoffs and punts, far more so than anyone else in his era. He holds the record for the most return Touchdowns of all-time (19) and is a three-time First Team All-Pro. Chicago Bears fans certainly know how many games Hester won for them and the Hall of Fame voters were all based around Lake Michigan he might have a shot.
