A First Round Pick from Washington State in 1984, Keith Millard made the team that drafted him (Minnesota) wait a year, as he went into the USFL for one season with the Jacksonville Bulls.

Millard would finally join the Vikings in 1985, and in the last two seasons of the 80s, he was regarded as the top Defensive Tackle in the game.  Millard was a First Team All-Pro in both '88 and '89, and he would capture the prestigious Defensive Player of the Year Award in the latter season.  Millard's career fell apart after that due to injuries, and he was out of the game a couple of years later, but those dominating seasons put him in any conversation of the elite.
