After a successful run as Corinne Tate in Soap, Diana Canova was cast as the female lead on Throb, a sitcom on the growing world of 1980s syndicated television. As Sandy Beatty, she was a single mom who found work at a struggling New Wave record label and had a "will they or won't they" thing going on with her boss. From what we can tell, she was lucky to have found the job because she was definitely a fish out of water there and surely they could have found someone else to do her tasks which got the music.
