Every great band needs a great road manager, and that is what Steel Dragon had in Mats (Timothy Spall). A grizzled veteran of the rock and roll game, Mats had seen it all, and despite his ability to party hearty, he was a bit of a father figure if needed and would be an essential character in 2001's Rock Star.
