There a lot of people who stepped up to try to take down Lucious Lyon, but an Academy Award winner came close. Actually, he did have the whole thing for a brief period.
It was Eddie Barker (Forest Whitaker) who gave Lucious a start on the radio, and he was a certified hitmaker who came into to help Empire until he tried to take it from him.
