When Dr. Johnny Fever went back to California when he had a job offer, W.K.R.P. needed a new morning man who they found in Doug Winter, who certainly seemed capable enough. His brief tenure at W.K.R.P. came to an end after he accepted payola in the form of cocaine…although that coke ended up on Arthur Carlson’s feet. Luckily Fever had returned so that the morning shift would not go vacant!
