Vincent Askew was very much a journeyman in the NBA spending time with Philadelphia, Golden State, Sacramento, New Jersey, Indiana, Denver, Portland, and Italy. Of course, Seattle was one of those stops, and it was there where he had his most productive and stable run in basketball.
It was in the Emerald City where he would play four years as their backup Shooting Guard. He would average 21.8 Minutes per Game with a PPG of 8.4 over his Sonics tenure. While his position title was "Shooting" Guard, Askew was an above-average defensive player and unselfish, which explains why he often found work.
