27. Jalen Rose

27. Jalen Rose

Jalen Rose was a member of the University of Michigan's famed "Fab Five," and it was with the Pacers where he first showed what he could do an elite level.  It didn't happen right away as he was clashing with the Pacers' coach, Larry Brown, as to what his role should be, and he would actually see fewer minutes than he had in Denver, which was where he played his first two years.

He would play his more natural Small Forward position when Larry Bird came in, and in 1999-00 he took over the starting role.  Rose would go from 11.1 Points to 18.2 Points per Game.  He would do even better the following season with a 20.5 PPG and a career-high of 6.0 Assists per Game.  While his stats were decent, he would be traded to the Chicago Bulls in an eight-player transaction early in the 2002-03 season.

Rose's overall numbers for the Pacers show a 14.2 PPG.
