Garcia could only pitch in 21 Games in 2000, and he would rebound in 2001 with 18 Wins against only six losses and an American League leading ERA of 3.05 and 238.2 Innings. He would make his first All-Star Game, and he finished third in Cy Young voting. The Venezuelan was an All-Star again in 2002 with a 16-10 campaign.
He would play another year and a half with Seattle before being traded to the Chicago White Sox in June of 2004. He would win 76 Games with 819 Strikeouts as a Mariner.
