A late round First Round pick in 1992, Damon would gradually improve year after year. In 1999 he was a .300 hitter and in 2000 he would again have a .300 year while leading the American League in both Runs Scored and Stolen Bases. The small market Royals would unload Damon, but it was in KC where his star began.
With the Royals, Damon had 896 Hits, with a .292 Batting Average and 156 Stolen Bases.
