From the Dominican Republic, Carlos Santana came up as a Catcher, debuting in 2010. He was a regular fixture in the lineup the following season, later moving to First Base, and he lived up to the nickname, hitting at least 20 Home Runs in five of the years from 2011 to 2017. Santana was not a player who hit for a high average, but his On Base Percentage was decent, and he led the American League in Walks in 2014 (113).
Santana signed with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2018 as a Free Agent, but he was back as an Indian a year later, where he had his best season in baseball. Santana's 2019 season saw career-highs in Runs (110), Home Runs (34), RBIs (93), and all three parts of the Slash Line (.281/.397/.515), and he was an All-Star and Silver Slugger for the first time.
Santana slumped in 2020, though he again led the AL in Walks (47) despite batting .199. He joined Kansas City as a Free Agent at the season's end.
With the Indians, Santana had 216 Home Runs with 1,197 Hits.
