As we are writing this (and you reading this) we want to remind you of two things.

The first is that relatively the Arizona Diamondbacks have not been around for very long.

The second is that even though Jean Segura was only with Arizona for one year, it was the best year he ever had.

The season was 2016 and Segura would lead the National League in Hits (203) while posting career highs in all three components of the Slash Line (.319/.368/.499) while also having a career high bWAR of 6.6.  He showed good power and speed numbers with 20 Home Runs and 33 Stolen Bases.  Having said all that, this was all done in a year where Arizona did not make the playoffs and essentially he will be easily forgotten in Diamondbacks history.
