McGee debuted in 1982, where he finished third in Rookie of the Year voting and helped take St. Louis to a World Series Title. The Outfielder would never secure another World Series ring for his hand, but he was one of the better National League Outfielders of the 1980s. McGee went to four All-Star Games in the decade, and in 1985, he led the NL in Hits (216), Triples (18) while winning the Batting Title (.353) and taking the Cards from one win to a World Series Title. St. Louis did not win the World Series, but McGee was named the MVP. McGee also was a three-time Gold Glove winner as a Cardinal.
McGee's career extended to 1999, with runs in Oakland, San Francisco, Boston, and a return to St. Louis. He retired with 2,254 Hits, a .295 Batting Average, and 352 Stolen Bases.
