gold star for USAHOF

Current WWE Inductees

If the WWE Hall of Fame is truly going to go old school with their Hall of Fame than so are we!
The long time announcer for the UWF, NWA, WCW and the WWE is considered by many (us included) to be the finest announcer in wrestling history.  Why Jim Ross isn’t announcing on a regular basis now is a crime to us and a multitude of other wrestling fans.  This is one of our favorite inductions.
We remembered one of Jim Neidhart’s last WWF appearances when Shawn Michaels courted him to join DX.  He told Neidhart about how he used to carry Bret Hart and he became overlooked.  This may have been a scripted line, but in the early years of the Hart Foundation, it was actually true.
When discussing the case of Jimmy Garvin the NIHOF committee openly discussed placing him in the Freebirds page.  In future editions, we may do that (or we may witness Garvin get inducted with the Freebrids) but for now we will concentrate on his career before his association with Michael Hayes and company which was a…
A very successful manager in the Memphis area, Jimmy Hart entered the WWF in early 1985 and quickly became one of the top managers there guiding a unique stable of wrestlers for years.  With his loud suits, obnoxious megaphone and willingness to do anything to entertain the fans, Jimmy Hart was a great addition to…
The “Superfly” never won a championship of any kind in the WWE, but he never had to.  In fact, Jimmy Snuka is still best known for his “Superfly” leap off the top of a Steel Cage onto the Magnificent Muraco in Madison Square Gardens; a match in which he lost!   Snuka did many have many…
Although he is still a relatively young man, the successful outside ventures of John “Bradshaw” Layfield make is confident that we can include him on our list and that his retirement will likely stick.  It is interesting that he made our list as when he started in the WWE he really didn’t have the makings…
Do not go by won/loss records when judging this induction.  “The Unpredictable” Johnny Rodz was with the WWE as an in ring competitor for almost twenty years, and though he was almost always in opening matches, he was an excellent measuring stick to see if up and coming talent had what it took to make…
While it can not really be disputed that Mildred Burke was the biggest women’s star of the 30’s and 40’s, that mantle was shifted to June Byers in the 50’s.  Byers would become the World Champion in the 50’s defeating Mildred Burke and would become the top female in the industry until a car accident…
Pardon the pun, but we are not exaggerating when we say that Jushin “Thunder” Liger took aerial wrestling to new heights.
When we moved Kane from the Futures to the Core List when he turned 46 (our mandatory age to be removed from the Futures), he was still an active wrestler.  Now, he is over 50, still looks great, and can still wrestle.  Oh, he is also the mayor of Knox County in Tennessee.
Kevin Nash may not have been the darling of the internet community, nor was he ever confused with being one of the great workers of the business.  Quite often his critics forget that he never had to be and possesses one of the more solid resumes on this list for Hall of Fame induction.
Revamping the ZZ Top classic “Legs” for former WWE Diva (and former girlfriend of George Clooney) Stacy Keibler, Kid Rock performed a set at Wrestlemania 25 prior to the entrance of the Diva’s Battle Royal.  To date, it is the longest musical performance at a Wrestlemania, though we aren’t sure exactly what that is worth,…
There are few wrestlers who have more legendary heel lore than Killer Kowalski.  From the time (though accidentally) he ripped the ear off Yukon Eric to terrorizing fan favorites across North America with his vicious demeanor and imposing size, few were feared more than Walter “Killer” Kowalski.   He was a constant contender for the WWF…
Many (including us) were surprised by this induction.  “The Birdman” Koko B. Ware did have a long tenure in Stamford, but it was mainly as a “jobber to the stars” and though he was a good hand, he did not have a career that seemed to scream Hall of Fame.  With all due respect to…
Kurt Angle won the 1996 Freestyle Olympic Gold Medal in Atlanta, and thought there has been past Olympians in the WWE, Angle would become the first Gold Medalist to enter the organization. Angle would have the best rookie year in WWE history, winning the European, Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Title, while dazzling fans with his…
It is hard to determine just whether Larry Zbyszko was best known for his feud with Bruno Sammartino, his loud arrogance or his hatred for Vince McMahon.
As Divas exploded onto the WWE landscape; Amy Dumas looked a little different the others.  She wasn’t a Barbie Doll, but a relatable woman who exuded her own brand of sexuality with large tattoos, a high up thong and a style that was more indicative of what you would see in high schools.  This made…
Best known as the comedic foil on WWF broadcasts in the 80’s and early 90’s, Lord Alfred Hayes was actually an accomplished wrestler who carved out a solid career for himself in his native England.  Hayes would travel to the United States and won himself a handful of regional championships and would later become a…
Despite the major respect we have for Lou Thesz, we were not initially planning to put him in our list. The bulk of Thesz’ career took place before the dawn of the WWE and even then he barely had any dealings with the North Eastern promotion. Still, the induction of Gorgeous George has opened up…
